Selecting a lawyer
The Order of Lawyers of the Bar of Liege provides its members and, therefore, litigants
with a quadrilingual online legal services module.
Thanks to this module, you can ask legal questions or request an opinion on a contract
or contract draft.
After you have signed up for the service or identified yourself, two procedures
of five and two steps each, and made prior payment, the lawyer you have selected
will respond to your request.
Your lawyer will, however, not be able to respond until they have verified that,
in compliance with the deontological obligations of lawyers, this will not lead
to any conflicts of interest. If necessary, they must also ensure, in compliance
with the law of 11 January 1993 on the prevention of the use of the banking system
for money laundering, that they have received the information and documents requested
during the pre-contractual phase.
In principle, every request for consultation must lead to the prior establishment
of a statement of fees and expenses. This invoice can be paid via the secure payment
module using a credit (Visa, Eurocard/Master Card), a debit card (Bancontact/Mister Cash), or by bank transfer.
Your agreement with the lawyer you have selected is archived and can be viewed in
your "client" area.
This module is less responsive than the rest of the site because it is secure (https://)
to ensure the confidentiality of exchanges and, therefore, of professional secrecy
to which lawyers are bound.
