Your personal data (name, first name, national number, sex, address, telephone, mobile and/or fax numbers, birth date, nationality, civil status, personal situation, language, object of the request for nomination, household members, source of income, and the same information for the members of your household) are processed by the Order of Lawyers of the Bar of Liege (lawyers, and administrative staff of the Order and of the Office for Legal Aid), headquartered at Place Saint Lambert, 16, 4000 Liege, in compliance with the law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy in the processing of personal data:
- In order to ensure respect of the conditions of access to second-line legal aid to enable the potential nomination of the Lawyer who will be responsible for defending your interests
- In order to communicate the data to the lawyer who will represent you, to enable him to manage his file, to use them within the framework of legal proceedings, and for the introduction of a request for legal assistance
- In order to manage your file, that is, to potentially request additional items, to ensure follow up of all correspondence you might submit to the BAJ or which the BAJ may send to you, in particular, in the event of the withdrawal of legal aid
- In order to correct and record reports which the lawyer must establish and send to the BAJ in virtue of Article 58/19 of the legal code
- In order to crosscheck the reports created by the lawyers
- In order to transmit all legal aid statistics to the Legal Aid Commission and to the Ministry of Justice (Article 508/11, paragraph 2 of the Legal Code) and to create the report on the operation of second-line legal aid
- In order to manage, if necessary, a litigation file in the event of an appeal against a decision taken by the BAJ.

These data will be used only for the above-mentioned purposes, except in the event of your express ulterior opposition. The personal data which you share with us are recorded in a file which the Order of Lawyers of the Bar of Liege controls and processes.

By providing a dated and signed written request addressed to the processing manager, and proof of your identity, you may request and obtain, free of charge, any reasonable volume of your personal data in writing and, if required, correction of any incorrect, incomplete, or irrelevant information.

The President of the Courts of First Instance examines all requests for the communication, correction, or removal of personal data when no action has been taken within 45 days of the request or when the request has been rejected.
